Introduction to Open Education

Jennifer Jensen, Scholarly Communications Librarian and Ed Beck, Instructional Designer visited our class to give us a background in Open Publishing and Open Education. They have shared their slides and a recording of their presentation with us for future reference.

You can view the Google slide deck of this presentation here.

"Our lives, our cultures, are composed of many overlapping stories. Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice -- and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding."

TEDGlobal 2009, July 2009, This TEDtalk ("The danger of a single story") was presented at an official TED conference, and was featured by TED's editors on their website.
